Chateau Le Grand Verdus - Winery

A place tinged with magic, where the secret of true Bordeaux winemaking is handed down from father to son The vineyard of Château Le Grand Verdus is located in the heart of a preserved hilly landscape, in the AOC Bordeaux Supérieur area, between the areas of Médoc, Graves, and Saint-Emilion, at the gateway to the Entre-Deux-Mers region (between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers), 20 km east of Bordeaux city. The superb country 16th-century Renaissance residence has been in the hands of the same family since 1810 – four generations of the LE GRIX DE LA SALLE family, all fired by the same passion for wine.

Hey Daniel, 

Thank you for offering these wines. How you discovered and chose to import Le Grand Verdus, of all the Entre-Deux-Mere wines produced? I just returned from Bordeaux and had the pleasure of spending a good portion of a day walking around Le Grand Verdus vineyards with Thomas Le Gris De La Salle, touring his wine production facilities and sampling 10 Le Grand Verdus wines, several unlabeled for family and friends. I was (am) really impressed with the quality he is able to achieve at scale, with limited staff--with his brother and just a couple of others, they run the entire operation. The value, even with your costs, is peerless. Coming back to the States, I could not find another retailer selling his wine. A few friends in Canada have been able to source it.
